Directed by Anton Corbijn, the video for hero of the day follows a drug-addled youth spending his day watching television. Every program he watches features Metallica in some way, from a Western movie with Kirk Hammett and Jason Newsted to a boxing match with Hetfield as coach and a game show with Lars Ulrich and Hetfield as contestants.
